As a leading Tax investigation specialist, the founder and director of McKenna Tax Consultancy Ltd, Andrew McKenna, has over 30 years of experience in the resolution of tax investigations and disputes.

After 15 years as a senior tax investigator at HMRC dealing with tax fraud and avoidance cases, including co-leading the first HMRC offshore investigation unit, he then left HMRC to work as a tax investigation consultant.

Andrew has spent time working at Deloitte, PwC and BTG Tax LLP, before ultimately becoming a partner at Smith & Williamson LLP for 9 years, including heading up their National Tax Investigation team for the last 4 years.

Andrew has acted for individuals, including high net worth entrepreneurs, companies, trustees, accountants and lawyers. His work has helped to resolve HMRC enquiries and disputes leaving clients in a stronger position both from a personal and a business perspective.
